Recipe: Courgette Fries

Healthy snacking with courgette fries

 

Snack responsibly - incorporate vegetables into your snacks. Like these courgette fries - crunchy and savory veggie fries with a soft inside. Great with a tzatziki dip!


Ingredients (2 servings)

  • 1 courgette
  • 1 egg
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • salt and pepper

Preparing

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Grate the Parmesan (use the fine grater from our Grater & Slicer Set). Mix it with salt and pepper and put in a deep plate. Fill another plate or wide bowl with the mixed egg. 
Wash the courgette and cut into fries with a knife or use our Tasty+ Potato Cutter for quick and easy cutting.
Dip each fry in the egg and then roll it in the Parmesan cheese. Make sure all sides are well covered.
Place the fries on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 20 minutes. Turn the fries halfway. Serve immediately.


 

Pro tip: For extra crisp, put the zucchini fries in a colander after cutting them, and sprinkle with salt. Leave them in the colander for at least 1 hour to remove the excess liquid. If you have a Salad Spinner, feel free to give them a spin. Rinse off the fries before preparing them.
